OK, I know I haven't written in a long time, but a lot has happend to me since Tuesday. The only reason I'm writing now is because I saw Jeff's message on his blog, under the name tongyun38 for all of you guys who go to church and know him. Go read his! This post is for you Jeff, I wasn't planning on writing for another week! And I hope you enjoyed the Stroke 9 concert. I can't believe someone else out there likes them too! I've had their Nasty Little Thoughts cd for years now, and they're great.
I was involved in a car accident on Tuesday. My dad was driving and I was in the passenger's seat. It happened on the way to school and it's very hard to explain. All I'll say is it happened on the long stretch of Sunset where you start making that long curve, and you have Lake Merced to the right of you. We were making a left turn, and the only way to do that is to wait for the two lanes of traffic coming from the opposite side to stop. Well one idiot on the lane closest to us stops his entire lane (he's a Chinese fool in a van talking on the cell phone) and waves us in. So my dad crept out, and a car from the second lane easily going 40 hits the front of our car, and we both end up on the side of the road. The car who waved us in then takes off, and leaves two jacked up cars. Nobody was seriously hurt, and we did all the information swapping thing. The bad thing is our car got totalled, so now we're going to have to buy a new car, the one I'm going to be driving in the summer and for school next year. We're down another $20,000, so that's not a good thing. Time to get a job, or sell organs, or do something to pay for this.
Sorry to ramble so much. Let's see...what else. I went back to school later that Tuesday, and also on Wednesday. I had 3 tests for those two days, and I survived it. I can't say I honestly tried my best, and I didn't study much for them. But who can really study when you have a car accident. I think I had a nice long phone conversation with Selina on Tuesday night til 1 A.M. about weird stuff like bathroom habits, and also about our love lives as usual. Strange talk, but fun!
Dave came home Wednesday night from L.A. for Thanksgiving. I went to Jenn's birthday party that night. It was really nice just to be with friends. It's kinda sad that we're just talking about where we applied to, what we wanna do with our lives, stuff like that. I can't say I'll miss Lowell itself too much, but I know I'll definately miss the people who made me what I am today. And as a sidenote, my back was HURTING that night, so thanks for all of you who helped me get dinner! =)
Thursday was...hectic. I wanted to wake up early and watch the guys play football, but I slept in until 11. When I got there, they were already playing. I'm glad the injuries weren't too severe, although I heard about Norm's concussion, which he should get checked up on. But otherwise, no dislocations or broken bones is a good thing. Who knows, maybe I'll go bulk up and play next year. It's tiring hearing Wayne telling me to put on a jersey. I just don't need an injury to ruin my family's Thanksgiving plans, it's not worth it. I don't think I have to prove myself to that extent. Plus my back was aching the night before. I'm taking Ibuprofen pills, which seem to be working.
The family ate lunch at my grandma's. Then we went to dinner at Santa Clara for my dad's side, although they're not really the "aunts" and "uncles" I call them, but it's still good to see them. Gee, one of the 10 year old girls, who I guess is my "cousin" made front page on one of the sections for the Oakland Tribune. She's got 19 medals in ice skating, and her coach is the former one for Kristi Yamaguchi. Holy smokes!
And that leads me up to today. I guess me and Dave are going to hang out today. Then head over to Bible Study at night, and see where I go from there. If you've read all the way to here, give yourself a pat on the back. I'm very proud of you.
