Man, today was rough. Church was ok. I got to meet Fiona Ma!!! It's not that exciting, really, it's just kinda funny. I see her face on all those ads everywhere I walk, especially around the Noriega area, where she said she lives. That guy next to her wasn't her bodyguard. He told me he got asked that a lot, and that he was just a friend. Interesting. That meeting made me feel very political, at least for the three minutes I was standing there. I always pass by her "headquarters", the corner building as you go down Noriega and 20 something avenue. I even saw some guys just sitting around at 10 o' clock at night as I passed. What are they doing in there that late? Maybe just looking up dirt on the other politicians on the internet.
Swimming was...different. I had a new instructor today because the usual one was busy. His name was David. Cool guy. He's in his last year at SF State. He has a scruffy beard, I wonder what it's like to swim in one of those. This was only my third lesson (first with him), and he made me dive off the ledge and into the water. It wasn't too bad when I did it on the 3 foot side, but slowly he moved to the deep water. I did it for the 5 foot end, then the 13 foot end. Then he made me jump off the diving board!!! Incredible, i survived. Yet I swallowed a lot of water, and he just laughed. Good guy. Maybe I'll sign up for some more lessons with him. I hope he doesn't make me jump out of a plane or something.
My brother and I decided to build this baseball card set (we collect baseball cards, it's been our hobby since we were kids). I calculated it's value to be around $3,000, and we agreed we needed a challenge, so we decided to go for it. I went on eBay today and spent $167. Yet we're only 1/4 of the way done, and I didn't even buy the expensive cards yet. Sheesh.
Good job Rolando (as said by Andrea) keep up the good blog work. People need to hear what's going on in each other's lives!!
Well, it's back to school for two more weeks. Now that i think about it, I don't know what I'll do for my two weeks off during my Christmas break. But oh well, that'll be resolved later. I have 3 tests this week I know about, and an orchestra concert on Thursday (if you wanna go and watch me, let me know!!! I'll be the guy alllll the way in the back). So wish me luck.
