The three day weekend turned out nothing like I thought it would. I guess I'd like a little more excitement and fun, but I'll settle for whatever comes my way. Here's what I remember:

Friday: Stayed at school until 12:40. Went out to lunch with my brother, and also went to Stonestown with him during my free mods. I finally got me my pair of suspenders. I've been looking for them everywhere. Would you believe they don't really make them anymore (that's very believable). But yea, I'm glad I got them. I got them because 1. Noah Wyle (Dr. John Carter) on ER, my favorite show and actor, wears em, and 2. Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) in Back To The Future, which is the greatest movie ever made, also wears em. My life is complete, I finally have my suspenders. At night, I went to bible study. Some of the guys and me accidentally broke Selina's car rear view window. It just snapped off when the basketball hit it. So we need to come up with $210 later to repay for it.

Saturday: I started my new tutoring job. It's cool, because the guy I tutor is from church. I got the job from a friend at church. My brother used to tutor his brother, so there's connections everywhere. It was pretty cool. We spent the first hour going over some algebra, then the second hour just talking about basketball, since he watches it and plays for a team. We even sat around talking about basketball plays, and he started drawing up plays on his paper. Not too shabby of a job if you ask me.

Sunday: I went to church. I wanted to play something, video games or sports, but people wanted to watch the Raiders game. I wasn't really into the Raiders game too much. Me and my brother instead spent an hour or so playing basketball at AP Giannini (thanks Pat, for letting us use your basketball). Then later that night, me and Alex went over to Selina's house to play Mah Jong. If my calculations are correct, I won 2 of the 20 games or so we played. That's pretty good in my world. I ended my 13 game losing streak. We had lots of interesting conversations about life, church, people, and love.

Monday: Once again, I wanted to play some video games, but people were busy. So instead I saw Rat Race and The Rookie. They were very good movies. Rat Race was pretty funny, the humor was definately my type of humor. The Rookie was a lot better that I would've expected. I'm a huge baseball guy, but I never thought I would be that inspired from this movie. Makes me want to go out and play some baseball. Are you guys ready to play some softball? I think I've been playing long enough not to be called a rookie. But my brother tells me he's going to give me rookie treatment. Maybe I'll fill his cleats with shaving cream when he gets back.

It's back to school. New teachers and new classmates. It's my last semester of high school. I'll try to make the most of it.

My final thoughts:

Someone close to me once said "You pick and choose who you want as your friends". With that in mind, I hope people know who their real friends are. I've noticed that as time goes on, friends emerge, and people who were once friends fade away.

Family is one of the most important things to me. So somebody can tell them that if they want to mess with my family, I won't hesitate to kick their asses.

Goodnight.
