Yesterday I went to my first ever concert at the Shoreline. Maroon 5 opened up for half an hour, they were pretty good. Next, Counting Crows played for a long hour and a half. Both Maroon 5 and Counting Crows are SF products, so they wanted to make the most out of their homecoming during this tour. But the reason I went yesterday was because of John Mayer. He played an hour and ten minute set. It was definately worth the $50 price of the ticket. Most memorable moments (in list form for Brandon):

1. Me and four girls went to the concert. Pam had an extra ticket, so Christine called Sam at 6:05. The show starts at 7:00, and Sam decided to go just because she asked him to go. He doesn't even listen to John Mayer or the Couting Crows. He shows up ten minutes later after his shower ready to go. Amazing.

2. People two rows in front of me were smoking a joint. I don't think a few of my friends knew what it was, so they kept inhaling the smoke blowing in our direction. You'd think these were the guys coming for the Couting Crows, but I think they were actually there for John Mayer.

3. John Mayer played a new cover song from the Eagles. Pam says his new CD will be out August 9 and will only have 10 songs. That's a bummer, but pre-orders are already on his website. I'll check it out later. I sure hope he doesn't have many cover songs, he could at least write most of them.

So overall, I'd say it was a good concert. I'd definately go to more concerts, maybe when John comes back later and tours on his own. And for all of you wondering, yes, there were many many girls there. But no, I did not get any of their numbers. Maybe I'll go watch some concerts with Jeff later. I'll go to Ozzfest. Or a 50 Cent show and get shot.

Pat called yesterday's softball game one of the best in CBC history. It was a shame i was out of town, but maybe I'll play next week after the picnic. Sounds like a good handful of people showed up, and there's a new superstar outfielder in the making (sorry Pat, I wasn't referring to you. Some girl Selina told me about).

First order of business, take care of the Porno Mustache Guy. Elisa, don't be his friend, he's going to be destroyed. I will actually spend some time later in the day and work out, just so I can feel strong when I play him on Thursday. We will win. Pat, I know you might not want to show up on Thursday and are boycotting, but we need you. I want you there on the courts with us when we win. Jenica should come too. But bring one of those SARS masks, you don't want the mustache bits flying into your face when it burns off. 1-2-3 Incinerate.
