Blogger was down last night, so all you dedicated fans couldn't read my site. But I am back now, better than ever, more powerful than before.
Selina and I have a bet. I bet her that I will be anti-social for the rest of the semester and not make a single friend (I really believe I can do it). She doesn't think I can do it. CCSF Allan Friend Counter: 3 Weeks, 0 Friends.
So today in US History class, as I walk into the room, "Freddy" says hi to me (please refer to a previous TrainHoboKen post for more information on Freddy). Freddy hasn't been terrorizing me lately, I'm glad. Also, that stupid white guy who keeps asking questions asked another stupid one today. Our teacher was talking about Theordore Roosevelt, then the white guy raises his hand and says "I may be wrong, but is he the same guy who had a disease?" Then my teacher says "no, the President you're thinking about is Franklin Roosevelt." Man, this white guy is an idiot. He is wasting everyones time. He should stand up in front of the classroom and appologize to all of us for wasting our time. Everytime he raises his hand, you know the class IQ level will drop 50 points.
As me and Kenny were walking to McDonalds for lunch, some black guy outside the book store was giving away a free bag full of samples. I stood there in front of the line for nearly 3 minutes, but he kept giving them to the people behind me because they were black. Then after those 3 minutes, he finally says "Ok, this guy is next, he's been waiting here for awhile." Thanks a lot black guy for finally noticing me.
And this leads me to another subject. Like I said, this past Saturday, me Dave and Cal went to the Sports card convention. The thing I noticed was that MOST dealers are very prejudice or racist. If me and a white guy both look at the cards of a white dealer at the same time, the white dealer will 90% say Hi to the white buyer and ask him if he needs help with anything BEFORE he says anything to me. But I've been pretty used to it by now. I guess when people see an 18 year old Chinese guy and a 50 year old white guy, they assume the white guy is loaded with cash and the 18 year old is there to spend his allowance of $.25 on a Ramon E Martinez card or a Rod Smith card (haha, I got Peony twice on one joke). That's why me and Dave would like to be dealers one day, we'd know how to treat customers right. I'm not sure if Cal has ever felt this way before, but that's the best way to see if you should buy from the dealer or not, just from the first impression. One dealer actually said "Thank you sir" to me after buying $7 worth of cards (Ophelia knows I like being called Sir). Now that's service.
Two more days of school. September and October are almost two straight months of nonstop school. Can't wait until November, that's when the holiday season kicks in.
