Today I was sitting in the library and this Indian girl next to me asks if I can watch her stuff. I say I could, but I'd be leaving soon. She says she's fine with that. Then she starts asking me about what classes I'm taking. I tell her I'm taking Math 100A (calculus) and I tell her my teacher is Mr. Kaiser. All of a sudden she starts naming three good calculus teachers and what they're like. I just nod my head and pretend like i'm really into the topic. She seemed like a nice person.

One thing in our conversation I noticed was when she started talking about one female calculus teacher. She said her name and then went off telling me she was Asian and was very pretty. I've noticed that many girls have no problem saying how pretty and cute other girls are. In fact, you women do that all the time. But you notice no guys do that kind of thing. Guys don't go around and say, "Man, Mr. Thompson is really handsome" or "Wow, Bob is really cute." But then again, guys who are athletes can go around and pat each others butts during a baseball game, and nobody really thinks too poorly of that. You don't see girls slapping each others butts or pinching each others boobs to pump them up during a volleyball game (although I wouldn't be opposed to seeing that, he he he). Our society has too many double standards.
