The clouds were out. I looked up to the skies and the heavens and saw nothing but gray blanket the city. It was Saturday morning, and the wind was furious. I cried out "Easy boy, I'm not here to harm you." But the winds cried back with a growl and pushed me back. The weather was miserable, but I had made a promise to Garson and Shirley I would help them patch up the hole in their house where the black birds have set up their nest. As I arrived to their house, the skies were worse. Drops of rain slowly poured down, like God was crying. Garson climbed up the ladder and I helped steady it. The winds rocked the ladder back and forth like a mother trying to calm her baby to sleep. I shouted up to Garson "Hang on, the winds are picking up!!" He held on like a soldier. Shirley also steadied the ladder. Selina was watching nearby, picking up the scattered bits and pieces that fell from the roof above as Garson nailed the chicken wire over the hole. "I can't hold on much longer!!" I yelled. Just as I was about to faint, Garson came down dripping with beads of sweat, and completed the mission. We then headed inside for shelter, away from the storm...
Ok, I admit, that story was a little exagerated, but pretty close to the real thing. Actually, it was a nice 70 degrees outside. Afterwards, we watched Alex & Emma. This was the second time for me. It's hard for me to watch Kate Hudson, because it's pure joy for me while watching, but afterwards, I feel sad because I don't get to see her anymore. I miss her.
While we were at the deli, me and Selina ordered our sanwiches on Dutch Crunch bread. But the man later came up to us and said he had run out of dutch crunch and only had sourdough, so we took that. Then as we were eating, Selina noticed she had sourdough, and I had dutch crunch. Strange, isn't it? I guess he gave his "last roll" to me. Some would even say it's his way of hitting on me.
Back to studying.
