This just in: John Mayer will be coming to California on his summer tour, Friday, July 16 - Mountain View, CA - Shoreline Amphitheatre. Man, I didn't think he'd be back, but he is coming back with a vengence. And to top it all off, Maroon 5 will be opening for him again.
Now this puts me in an interesting position. His website usually auctions off one pair of front row/meet and greet tickets. They've gone anywhere from $500-$1000. I know what you're thinking, "Allan, you're crazy if you're going to bid $1,000 on those tickets." Well, what can I say, Allan is a crazy guy. It's either I pay that kind of money for them, or pay $50 and get row 150 tickets again, which actually isn't too bad if you have Superman's vision. Right now, I'm trying to put together a baseball card set that's worth $1,700. But I've estimated that it's going to cost me $700 to put together, and so far I've spent $200 and not close to halfway done. I'm considering stopping where I am now and selling what I've got on eBay so I can use that money towards good john Mayer tickets (Cal, you can bid on them and I can charge you expensive shipping costs to make profit). Also, Selina says she might be able to hook me up with her job at the CCSF "bookstore." Although it pays less than minimum wage, it really requires little work since it doesn't have anything to deal with textbooks, but $.25 paperback books. The only catch is I have to go to summer school (for some reason, her boss is requiring it, probably for some tax reasons). If you want to donate some money and send me backstage after the gig to meet John Mayer, I do accept checks and cash. Allan needs some money.
I need to figure out some way to get money fast. I might write a "How To Get Rich On eBay" book and sell it to people. Then after they read it and pay me $10 for it, they'll realize I scammed them because I know absolutely nothing about anything.
My posts are getting dumber by the minute. Sorry.
