"You have to take a chance on something sometime" - Jim Halpert.

I'm sitting here listening to Hilary Duff's Metamorphasis CD. I think it's a really good debut cd. I think the reason I like most of the songs is because she's singing about stuff that relates to her. For example, her songs deal with friends, her mommy and daddy, love/crushes, "sweet 16", and homework. Now that's what a 16 year old should be singing about. But when I hear these 12 year old singers sing about true love and stuff that a 12 year old normally doesn't emotionally feel, I just change the station. I think what makes a song great is when you can tell the singer is really meaning what he sings. The last thing I need is a 12 year old singing about true love and telling me how to get the girl.

Brian wants to put my ad up on Yahoo personals to see how many responses I get.

Speaking of Brian, me Brian and Peony were talking in the car today. I was telling them about my Econ quiz on Wednesday. Our teacher changed the format and made it a group quiz. We counted off and split into groups of five. Nobody knew what was going on, so I had to be the secretary and write down the answers so we had something to turn in. One of the questions involved finding what 2,000 + (0.80)10,000 equals. I quickly answered 10,000. Then everybody looked at each other. Then I told them to trust me and that it was 10,000. Then everybody looked at each other again. A couple of them told me they had calculators. But after the confusion, we agreed it was 10,000 and moved on to the next problem.

Brian said sarcastically, "Well Allan, not everybody is as smart as you."

I came to the conclusion Brian is right.
