Everyone is flocking to see the new Harry Potter movie. Not me. I wouldn't even go if you gave me free movie tickets because I don't know any of the characters, and I don't really want to take the time to get to know them. I think the movie is great for people that read the books because reading is like the first step in developing a relationship with Harry and the gang. Whenever I finish reading books, I always feel if I ever saw the main character walking down the street and I gave him the "what's up" nod, he'd give me the "what's up" nod back. Unfortunately I've never seen any fictional characters on the street.
Today I went over to the Cheungs house to watch Ophelia's HK love movie called "Turn Left Turn Right." It's about this guy and girl who met as kids and liked each other, but the girl lost the guys phone number. Then 13 years later, they meet again, exchange numbers, but while running home in the rain, the numbers smear out and they can't find each other. And ironically, they live right next to each other in the same apartment, pass each other by unknowingly in the streets and hospital, and even eat at the same Chinese restaurant. In the end, they end up realizing they live right next to each other after an earthquake breaks down their wall dividing their rooms, and then they walk over the rubble and hug each other. THE END (don't even get me started on that ending. If an earthquake broke down my wall, I'd be pissed because walls are expensive). Anyway, that movie got me thinking, maybe my one true love lives next door to me all this time. So I decided to go next door, ring the doorbell, and a 78 year old woman answered the door. I told her we were meant to be and asked her to run away with me. After I finally convinced her, we drove away into the sunset (some or all of these events may be false).
Well tomorrow begins my summer school adventure. I have a feeling this Asian Art History class is going to be hard because 1. It's a lot of memorizing and I have the memory of a rock and 2. Summer means everybody will be having fun, so I will be tempted to go out and party, but I know I'll have to study. By the way, when I say "party", I mean going to Melvin's Wild Wild Party's and playing Scrabble.
I'll update later on which girls I plan to study...I mean, which pages in my textbook I plan to study.
