I've always admired actors who had to change the way they eat in order to get a certain role in a movie. For example, Tobey McGuire put on I believe 20 pounds of muscle in order to be Spider-Man, then lost it all in order to play the jockey in Seabiscuit. Renee Zellweger also put on pounds to play the lead role in Bridget Jones' Diary. So I decided I want to play a new role: the normal 19 year old kid. My brother tells me I'm actually 20 pounds lighter than the average kid my age. So I decided that in the next two months of summer, I'm going to try and gain 10 pounds. My goal is not to gain 10 pounds of fat however, but 10 pounds of good, healthy weight and muscle. This means eating more during my three meals, drinking more milk, and doing a little weight lifting. I actually lost about 8 pounds during this school year, which is weird because most people gain weight during college, but I think my intense study habits caused me not to eat as much. So by August 1st, I hope to see a fatter, chubbier (yet normal) Allan.
My summer hasn't been as exciting as I thought it would be. I've done a little reading the last two days. By that, I mean I drove down to Borders, grabbed a book, and read it on the floor. I was actually planning to stay at Borders for a few hours and finish a short book, but the floor isn't kind to my butt and the book I was reading wasn't too great. It was about entrepreneurs and the myths behind starting your own business. After reading that book, I realized I don't want to start my own company as much anymore. I think I might just settle for a minimum wage job and sell stuff on eBay while I live alone in an apartment with my dog Pepe. If anybody wants me to sell their garbage on eBay and give me a cut, just let me know, I think that's the best thing for me to do in order to generate an income. And on my spare time, I'll do speed dating and search the Yahoo Personals. Yup, my life has already been mapped out.
Finally got some pictures up. Thanks for reading.
