I am sick again. I blame it all on Stonestown. Every time I go to Stonestown, I get sick. I think it's a proven fact. I couldn't help it though, because I needed to get my holiday shopping done. Next year, I will avoid all malls.
Christmas dinner at church was pretty good. I was feeling good enough to go, but my sore throat got even worse later that night. I hope to get over whatever I have soon so I can enjoy my Christmas break. There was lots of good food at the dinner. The best had to be Bernard's chips. There was no carrot cake at the dinner, but I'd give the title to either the apple pie (which Alex ate, and I'm proud of him) or the cookies (which I ended up eating).
I suppose the only thing left to do is list my 2005 resolutions:
1. Keep my mouth shut/think before I act: These things kind of go hand in hand. I think I need to do a better job at learning when to just see the big picture before acting. This should save me a lot of stress and grief. It's always easier said than done.
2. Be a better son: I can definately be a better son, especially to my mom. We don't get along as well as me and my dad. I'll stop there.
3. Start my own reality television show: Everybody has one now-a-days. It can't be that hard to start one.
4. Become more of a nerd: I don't know how I'm going to measure this one in December 2005, but I vow to be more nerdy. Usually, people try to become more hip and ghetto to impress the ladies, but I will actually increase my sex appeal by adding to my nerdage. This might mean studying more, talking more gramatically corrected, wearing my glasses more often, and carrying a heavier backpack. Girls dig the nerds.
5. Win a championship in something: This is pretty open, but can include a championship in CBC sports, fantasy sports, or champion nerd of CCSF.
6. Invent a catch phrase: If you notice me saying something you've never heard before, and then find yourself throwing it in with your own conversations, I've succeeded.
That doesn't seem like a lot of goals. I'm open to some challenges you may have for me. Have a good New Year.
