One week until school begins. I did some chores/errands the past few days, but I still have more to do. For starters, I need to mail out my eBay stuff, but I used up all the tape, so my dad is going to go buy some tomorrow so I can send stuff on Thursday. I still need to buy my parking permit, and I went today, but they start selling them tomorrow. What a rip off. Then I have to fill out my financial aid form (although I probably won't get any, yet it's worth a try). Lastly, I need to send in my grades from last semester to both Berkeley and to the University of California system. Man, Berkeley is so picky, they're making me fill out 4 extra forms seperately than for the University of California. Hope to get all that stuff done by Thursday.

What's with all these rappers feuding? When one rapper disses another rapper, the rapper will come out with his own song to diss him back. It's a bit ridiculous. I'm not a big rap music guy, and I guess they're all fighting over "street cred", but when you include parts of your next single just to insult another rapper, it just adds to the feud. You don't really see this type of thing much in other genres of music. I don't really hear Hilary Duff bash the other hoes, I mean teen pop stars, in her songs. Nor do I hear John Mayer bashing other singers in his songs. I guess it's one of those things I'll never understand. Ironically, you're now also starting to see different genres get together and unite (Linkin Park, Nelly, etc). In fact, John Mayer did team up with rapper Trick Daddy in his one hour tv show on VH1.

On the music note, I just got the Switchfoot cd. I actually think it's a good cd. I consider a cd "good" when you can listen to more than half the songs. That's hard to find nowadays because so many artists suck. They have one great single and the rest of the cd is fillers. Even the lead singer from Creed said he skipped over some of his own songs when listening to his cd. That's pretty bad if you ask me. Maybe that explains why the members of Creed broke up.

Went to Hooters yesterday to celebrate Kenny's birthday. I agree that the food wasn't too great. It was mostly the chicken wings. We ordered 50 and they were a bit lacking in flavor. This may be in part due to the fact that we didn't order ranch dressing to dip them in, but at $.75 a packet, no way Jose Canseco. Who am I, Wayne? But there weren't too many hooters to look at. Hooters has their Wall of Fame with all these pictures of celebrities who have eaten at Hooters. It's kinda cool, but it's also acting as a reminder that you're a nobody eating at Hooters and not good enough to be on that Wall of Fame. I even saw weak NBA players on that wall, meaning their standards aren't too high. I vow to be on that Wall someday, because I will make something out of myself. I vow to have hooters of Hooter girls in my face.
