"You have to take a chance on something sometime" - Jim Halpert.

Pat told me there’s going to be a Fantastic Four movie. I was pretty curious, so I went to go find the trailer, then spent the next hour and a half reading about all these comic book movies coming out. I had no idea all this stuff was in the planning. For instance, X-Men 3 is due out in July 2006. I’ve been pretty happy with the X-Men movies so far, because these comic book movies are easy to screw up when you consider how cheesy the comic books can sometimes be (wouldn’t watching Halle Berry fly across a room a couple of times start to look stupid?). But anyway, sounds like everyone (except superstar actress Halle Berry because she let it all go to her head) is coming back. They also might bring in the characters Colosus again, Jubilee, The Beast, Psylocke, and Gambit. The movie doesn’t have a director yet because he left for Superman Returns! Man, I had no idea that was coming out in 2006 either. If I read it correctly, it’s the 5th Superman movie since Christopher Reeves did the first in 1978?! I haven’t seen any Superman movies yet, so I must’ve read that wrong. But ever since I started watching Smallville, I’ve had Superman fever (it’s like the ebola virus but not as contagious)

The guy playing Clark Kent in the Superman Returns is pretty ugly looking. I guess he passes for Clark Kent, but why not just use Tom Welling? He’s already established himself as Superman, geez. And for Kenny, Kate Bosworth will be playing Lois Lane.

Well back to X-Men 3. I think it’d be pretty cool to bring in guys like Psylocke and Gambit. They haven’t decided on an enemy yet, but I think the Sentinels would be pretty cool. I also read they’re going to make a Wolverine movie. Sorry, but I don’t think Wolverine can carry a movie himself.

If anyone out there is part of the casting crew for X3 and looking to add a new X-Men character who’s male, asian, skinny, a bad actor, and has the superpower to drive away women, give me a call. I’d be happy to be in the movie.

Sorry for all this comic book talk, I know a lot of you don’t care, but I grew up on this stuff.

Oh yea, Fantastic Four looks kinda weak in my opinion, but I’ll probably end up watching it. Jessica Alba is pretty hot, but Invisible Woman is supposed to be a blonde. Why not ask Kate Hudson to do it?

I have a tendency to wait a long time to watch good movies. I never go to the theatres anymore unless other people invite me with them. I’ve only seen one Kate Hudson movie in the theatres, which is kinda sad. People always tell me “You have to see this”, whether it’s a movie or tv show. Most of the time I’ll just assure them that I will, but I probably don’t get around to it unless it’s by accident. For instance, my brother kept telling me to watch the tv show Monk. I never saw it and it looked really boring. But I stumbled upon it last week and loved it, so I set my schedule to watch the latest episode tonight. Who’d a thought I’d actually start watching Monk? I’d be lying if I said it had nothing to do with the new addition of Monk’s secretary (the cute girl from Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizzaplace). Time to go watch her now...I mean, Monk.
