I've got a math test tomorrow but I find blogging more enjoyable. I've also been distracted by Fantasy Baseball. I can't seem to Focus. Someone needs to help me Focus.
My brother was looking through some old photo albums for his slideshow. While he was digging around, he found some interesting pictures, most I had never seen before. One picture is of Cal, Pat, and Dave at Cal's birthday party as a kid. I think Pat was smiling really wide in one picture and wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt. But don't worry guys, I won't release that picture to the public. I'll just store it in my Secret Stash. Hahaha.
Anyway, we found some old pictures of my dad. My dad has a bad back and I think it's going to be passed down to us. But in some of the pictures, my dad is shown doing Karate and breaking boards with his foot. I never knew he did that stuff. It's funny how all these old pictures of my dad made me wonder what he was like as a kid. I'm sure most of us don't really think about what our parents were like at our age right now, because that stuff is mind boggling. But my brother did raise up good questions: was our dad cool? where are all his friends in the pictures now? (after all, he did leave them when he came to America). But it is funny how all the clothing and fads became, well, fads. And the sad thing is, all the clothes and music and hobbies I have right now will eventually be ancient to kids in the next generation. Children will laugh at my Playstation 2 while they play with their Playstation 5. Kate Hudson will be the equivalent of today's Betty White in the future. I'll start every conversation with "In my generation, Kate Hudson was a knockout." And sadly, John Mayer will someday be the equivalent of today's Mick Jagger, unless he OD's on some drugs backstage. I will be an old fogey, no matter how hard I try not to. And the sad thing is, the harder you resist Old Fogeyism, the more of an Old Fogey you become.
At least I've prepared myself already. Most of my clothes are already outdated.
But back to the pictures. Dave found this one picture that totally shocked us, because it looks EXACTLY LIKE ME. And the weird thing is he took it at age 18, which is basically the age I'm at now (I'm 19, but turning 20 soon in case you older ladies out there are interested). So being the loser that I am, I got Dave to take a photo of me in the same pose, similiar clothes and background, and same props. We even did some Photoshop to black-n-white it. So if you have some time, go click the "My Hot Pictures" link to the right (underneath the giant Check Me Out...), and look at the "Lem Teens" picture in my Yahoo page. I now have proof I am the real son of my dad.
Me and Dave have too much free time on our hands...
