A McFlurry of topics I'd like to touch on today:

1. Don't you hate it how you go to the dictionary to find the definition of a word, but the definition has all these complex words that forces you to look for their definition? By the time you're done trying to find the definition of the one word you set out to find, you've learned two or three new ones.

2. I spent Superbowl Sunday at Bennie's Wild Wild Party. Thanks to Alex and Ben for giving me rides, and of course Bennie for being such a great host (who fed me and showered me with bags of chips). I was the only guy rooting for the Patriots yesterday, while everyone was rooting for the Eagles for different reasons: not wanting Tedy Bruschi to be a three time winner (although he ended up with 5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, and 1 more ring). Another was JQ and Danny wanting the black quarterback to suceed. If you met them for the first time last night, you'd think they were chairmen of the NAACP. The last one was obvious in that people were getting tired of the Patriots. How can you be tired of 3 time Superbowl Champion Tom Brady? This guy is a winning machine. You can't beat him in the playoffs. The fact that I'm now a big Brady fan and the fact I hate Terrell Owens (and got sick of Freddie...what's that guy's name? The guy who talked all postseason and had one catch) made me root for the Patriots. Man, that Bruschi guy, he was all over that football like a #2.

3. The exposure to all the babies last night got me thinking about things again. I like babies and kids, I really do, but I think all the babies hate me, or that I scare them. Do I give off a Frankenstein vibe? I think the fact that all my baby relatives are in Canada has made me...baby ignorant. I need a Baby For Dummies book. I have no idea how to "correctly" hold them, or "play" with kids (don't worry, I don't play with kids like Michael Jackson does). I just like hanging out with kids and doing whatever they're doing. If they want me to hold their toy car while they play with their toy truck, I will do so. But me and Dave were talking about how it sucks that we don't really know any of the kids at church (or more like they don't know us), and we never get to see our kid relatives.

My lack of exposure to kids can be summed up in yesterday's event when Maddy and Benjamin were having a pillow fight with Ben and Anthony. Then Maddy kind of stumbled and nudged Benjamin, and Benjamin lost his balance and fell straight back and thunked his head right into Bennie's furniture. I was sitting their shocked and saying "Holy Crap!" in my mind. But all Anthony did was pick up and Benjamin and sat him on his lap. Then 5 minutes later, he stopped crying and everything was back to normal. I guess that type of thing happens to babies all the time, and it's not as big of a deal as I thought it was.

I knock my head on things all the time and start crying.

3. Every once in a while, I have the urge to sing out loud. I don't know if this is normal. And this urge only seems to happen when I'm in class while my teacher is lecturing. And the odd thing is the only line I want to sing out loud is "Your body is a wonderland." I'm glad I've refrained myself so far.

4. For Bernard, I'm going to grow a Freedom Beard.

5. I'm thinking about giving up on baseball cards, my hobby. I don't think I'll start another hobby or anything, I just might use my money on other things like music, games, trips, Kate Hudson DVDs, etc. I just lost my passion for card collecting. I think the fact that I've spent $800 on guitars so far will mean I'll channel all my energy into improving myself on that area.

6. Speaking of road trips, I don't know how much of a baseball road trip this summer we can pull off. I looked at the schedule and the best thing that can work out is a Dodgers/Padres/Oakland/San Francisco trip. There's also time to catch an episode of Jay Leno while in Burbank. And if people feel lucky, there can be a Price is Right visit. Cal could be a two time car winner. But anyway, that's something that could be pulled off in late July if people have time off and wanna try it.
