It's been a long time since I've last posted. This semester has been pretty tough on me so far, even though it's "only" 13 academic units and it should be my easiest semester so far. But that hasn't been the case at all. I just want to get through this semester with a good GPA. I should be hearing from Berkeley and Davis in April. I might've found an apartment with an old elementary/middle/high school friend and his two other roommates. Rather than dorm like I planned at Berkeley, I'll probably take him up on the offer. It's a little pricy, but considering I have no potential dormmates in mind, this looks like a win-win situation.
So here are some other things I've noticed:
1. Has anyone seen the ad for the new show "Blind Justice"? The show looks so dumb. I don't want to come off as insensitive to blind people, but this show seems so dumb. If you haven't heard of it before, it's a show about a blind police detective. The slogan is "He may have lost his sight, but he still has his vision" or something lame like that. My tv critiques may be hard, but they've been pretty accurate. I was wrong about the O.C. (which I called a dumb show before it came out, but I guess everyone likes watching good looking people). And what about Johnny Zero? Is that show even still on?
Blind Justice will probably go on to win numerous awards and I'll be wrong again.
2. I'll admit that I listen to Radio Disney in the morning when I drive to school. There's nothing else on except 101.3 (but I HATE Don Bleu after his interview with John Mayer), and 96.5, which occasionally has a good song now and then, but there's too much lame stuff like Uncle Kracker or old Lionel Ritchie songs. My car radio doesn't even get any of the Christian stations. So I listen to Hilary Duff, Kelly Clarkson, Baha Men, Bowling For Soup, and Jesse McCartney in the morning. Radio Disney has a lot of contests where you can meet bands or singers. They even had a contest that said you can meet Hilary Duff. And I was thinking, what if I entered and won. I doubt Radio Disney has an age max for these contests. If I won, I bet all the little kids that idolize her would be crushed, knowing the contest winner was actually older than Hilary Duff.
Sorry Alex, I don't think there's been any SClub7 contests yet.
Radio Disney also has segments where kids call in and give shoutouts. Maybe I should call in and try to get on the air. I'd give a shoutout to all my ho's. I wonder if you can say Ho on Radio Disney.
3. I noticed that Kelly Clarkson looks different in every picture I've seen her in. I'm sure you know people like that. Some people say Kate Hudson has that "problem" too. I don't really think it's a problem, it's just odd. I've seen Kelly Clarkson's two album covers, and they look nothing like her. Then in her new music video, she holds a picture of her and her ex-boyfriend, and that looks nothing like her. It's annoying because I'm just a guy who likes some consistency.
4. You know what I hate? Pedestrians who take their time walking across the street even though their walking light turns red because they know cars can't hit them. I don't mind if it's an elderly person who has trouble walking, or people in wheelchairs or crutches. I'm talking about sassy teenagers who walk slow and hold up traffic because they think they own the crosswalk. This is why I say we need to the change the laws: If a car runs a red light that's breaking the law. If a person walks a red light that should be breaking the law too. I'm suggesting we implement a system that penalizes healthy pedestrians for walking too slow. In the words of Captain Picard, "The Line Must Be Drawn...Heeyar (Here)."
If I was able to get Congress to make this a law (which according to my good friends at Schoolhouse Rock begins as a bill), I would then go into the business of pedestrian insurance. I would represent the most powerful pedestrians in the world: Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson's young male friends, etc.
Finally, March. A new month.
