I've seen too many cops around the Sunset and St. Francis Woods area. You'd think these cops would be fighting crime, but instead they're just hanging around the safest parts of the city and giving people tickets. We need somebody to police the police. I see police do tons of illegal things but they are above the law apparently. They make left turns on Sunset. They never give you the right of way even though you arrive at the stop sign first. I've lost all respect for the police. If I'm ever in trouble, I'd rather put my money on Superman.

I was reading stuff about how the L.A. police were crap during the L.A./Rodney King riot. Instead of stopping all the blacks from destroying the Koreans property, they all went to guard the Beverly Hills area. Good going police.

This is why firemen are seen as the heroes in 9/11. Nobody gives a crap about the police because they seem to shy away from trouble, at least the ones I've seen. I'm also referring to the time my teacher was dying on the floor last year and they just stood around waiting for someone to give him CPR.

So because there are too many damn cops around the city, I've been driving extra slow now. I can tell people behind me are really annoyed. I know because I used to be the guy behind people trying to speed past them. I was driving slow today because there was a bicyclist next to me, and I didn't want to speed past him and knock him over. There was a narrow passage up ahead, so instead of speeding up past him, I breaked and slowed down. The guy behind me was pissed. He gave me one of those hand gestures that signals "What the hell are you doing? Why are you braking? Hurry up." I also know that gesture because I give it often. So instead of speeding up, I do what I normally do when somebody behind me annoys me, I slow down even more. He ended up switching lanes and driving away afterwards, but that was pretty fun.

We had nothing to do today, so me, Brian, Kenny, and Alex drove around. We parked at the rec center and watched some high schoolers play basketball from the car. I don't think they saw us. There was this guy who looked like a younger version of Kenny. He wasn't very good at basketball. He kept airballing. At one point, he was inbounding the ball and threw it out of bounds to the guy about three feet away from him. I've never seen that before. At one point he left the court because he wounded himself. Overall, it was pretty fun to watch him.
