Pat got us tickets to yesterday's Warriors game. They were pretty good seats, closest I've gotten so far. Here's basically what happened:
1. Troy Murphy was like, 1/5 free throwing while we watched. He was getting hecka rebounds, but they took him out most of the game, so I didn't get to watch him.
2. Adonal Foyle was blocking people.
3. Got to see my favorite Euro: Zarko Cabarkaba. I want Mongomery to play the Triad: Zsitishvili, Cabarkaba, and Biedreins all at once, but he's never done that. At least I saw 2/3 of the Triad.
4. Jason Richardson was dunking on people.
5. Mike Dunleavy was falling all over the place. Made lots of clutch threes.
6. Baron Davis was taking many questionable shots.
That's pretty much the game summary. Warriors won. After the game, I saw from a distance Calbert Chaney walk into the stands and meet with his kids and wife. He also signed a few autographs. I was tempted to run over there, but it was on the other side of the arena.
There was a "celebrity" game after the Warriors game. I don't think it was fair to use the word "celebrity." It was really just a game. Among the "celebrities" were Frankie Muniz (or as my brother calls him, Frankie Muntz), Bow Wow, Brian McKnight, some R&B singer named Tank, Matthew Lillard, Roger Lodge from Blind Date, some singers from a band called 5-11 (or maybe it was 4-11 or 7-11), and a whole bunch of actors and comedians from ghetto movies like Soul Plane. We left after 7 minutes into the game. Basically, it was this Tank guy hogging the ball while everyone else just ran around. Matthew Lillard missed all the shots he took during those 7 minutes. Nobody passed the ball to Frankie Muntz. While we were waiting in the lobby, I overheard that he made a 3 pointer. This guy is so tiny. For some reason, him and Bow Wow weren't even guarding each other. They made Bow Wow guard someone else. Is Frankie Muntz so good (or so bad) that they had to get someone who's not his size to guard him.
If I were playing, I'd give Roger Lodge a blind date with my sweet jumper. Jumper!
I guess the standards of being a "celebrity" have declined.
At least I got a coupon for a free Big Mac since the Warriors scored over 100 points.
