We went out for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. We went to the Hong Kong restaurant on Noriega (the one on the corner of the block with the Subway). Anyway, the food wasn't too bad and they were speedy. The saddest part of the night was the fact that there was this older couple behind me. I know what you're asking yourself, why is that sad? I felt sorry for them because they had the worst seats in the house. There was a pillar in the way on one side of the table, so they had to sit next to each other! How unromantic is that, sitting at a table designed for two next to each other! And the worst part of it was that the table was right next to all the fishes and crabs, and the guy made the girl sit next to the fish tanks! That's got to suck. She's squished in between a guy and a giant fish tank. Stuff like that makes me sad.

Anyway, there's only 3 weeks of school left for me. Finals begin on the 20th for me, and I've got a few essay projects due before then. My finals are spaced out pretty well this semester, with the most important one (Stats) all the way on the last day of finals on the 27th. It's good that I get more time to study, but I think she's going to make it harder because she knows we have more time to study. The worst part about finals is having too much time between finals. Sometimes, I'd rather just get them over with. I think I have finals every other day, so that gives me plenty of study time. Having two or more days between finals is brutal, because it just gives you time to worry and look over the same notes to the point where you just wanna stop studying. I think it's the same ideas as icing the kicker by calling a timeout.

Did you know you can't by the junior scoop of ice cream at Polly Anns if you're not a kid? If you want a scoop of ice cream, you have to either get the single or double scoop. That's outrageous!

The end of finals will bring a lot of free time. Since the wedding isn't until the 18th, and Mathcamp begins the 20th, I'll have a lot of dead time. I guess I'll have some stuff to do with the bachelor party setup and wedding setup, but that still leaves almost two weeks of free time. So even though I've got 3 weeks until summer vacation, here's some ideas I'm thinking of doing for summer:

1. I'm going to do lots of cooking. I'm going to have to start cooking on my own soon, so I might as well start practicing at home first. Therefore, I'm going to literally learn how to cook the first two weeks of vacation. I'm going to decidate 5% of my paychecks to the Allan Cooking Fund (unfortunately, I only make $120 per paycheck and I only have two paychecks left, so I'll only have $12 to work with). Donations will be gladly accepted.

I thought it was really cool when Jenica invited some of us over for a dinner party. I could never make the stuff she made. Perhaps I'll have a dinner party of my own in the summer. Everyone is invited! (I'm saying that now because I'll probably never have one). Anyway, I have some ideas in my head what I want to cook. For example, I want to make chicken cordon bleu, some fancy desserts, maybe some kind of potato salad with hot dogs I saw Rachel Ray cook. I guess I'm out of ideas, but I'll find something soon. I take requests too. But don't blame me if you eat my food and get diahrrea.

I guess this is all part of my "Improve Myself" phase.

We should have a baking party.

2. I finally got my acoustic guitar restrung. Maybe I'll spend an hour every day practicing in the summer, and do those guitar exercises on those websites. I should probably start to learn some new chords too.

3. I want to get back into eBay selling. I have some stuff I need to sell but I want to do that after finals. I'll put the money I make towards the Allan Cooking Fund.

4. We might get a dog sometime in the near future. If we get it this summer, it'll probably be a beagle. I'll teach it all kinds of sports like volleyball, basketball, football, baseball, etc. It'll be the next Air Bud (except my dog will block volleyballs, serve, AND spike, not just block like that lame Air Bud). My dog and I will also solve mysteries and fight crime, but that's only if we have time.
