Wow, I can't believe July is actually around the corner. I haven't been up to too much lately. I'm trying to play more guitar. Maybe I'll just pick a song and do nothing but concentrate on that song alone. I spend my mornings at math camp literally doing nothing but walk around and hang out with the kids as much as possible. I actually got to "teach" today and the kids were really good. I'm trying my best to remember as many names as possible.
I've also continued cooking. I finally made the chicken cordon bleu I've been meaning to make for the past 2 years. It turned out decent, but it was a little dry. My brother thought it was pretty good.
CCU Volleyball has been okay. We're not one of the better teams this year, but we're not getting totally destroyed either. The team we played yesterday cheated by having the same guy serve twice, and when we tried to point it out to the ref, the ref didn't notice and it cost us a few points. The guy cheating didn't say anything either. You'd think the cheating would be eliminated in a Christian league but you're wrong. We, on the other hand, do not cheat.
I've been watching some movies lately to pass the time. Let me give you the Lemmyboy reviews:
1. In Good Company: I thought this was a good movie. Topher Grace plays a very likeable character who I can sadly relate to, because he plays a lonely guy with no friends. I give it one and a half middle fingers up.
2. The Notebook: This wasn't a bad movie either. I expected to cry, but I didn't. It's a good movie for all you lovebirds out there. I give it one and a half middle fingers up as well.
3. Spider-Man 2: I'm probably the only guy who waited to watch this movie on DVD. I thought it was action packed and I was not disappointed one bit during this movie. I give it two middle fingers up.
4. Garden State: I thought this movie was going to change my life. It wasn't bad, but I was left a bit confused at the end, and that's something I hate when I watch a movie. I don't mind having to think about the meaning of a movie after watching it, but this movie seemed to try and go too deep. I didn't even understand some of the dialogue because it was too complex. It reminded me of Dawson's Creek, where you have high schoolers talking like they came out of a Shakespeare play. The acting was great and camerawork and humor was there, but it still felt like something was lacking for me. I give it one middle finger up.
Bye.
