Going home tomorrow afternoon for Thankgiving weekend. For some reason, I've never looked forward to Thanksgiving so much than I have this year. I guess since Berkeley, I haven't had too many weekends where I've been able to relax. It's usally been come home Friday afternoon, go to Bible Study, study Saturday, go to church, then leave Sunday night. It's like I have no time to sit down and catch my breath. It will be nice to have a few days with friends and family.
Make sure there's plenty of pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce this weekend. You can never have enough.
We won't be going to my dad's side of the family for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year. That's a good thing, because I don't want to answer questions about school. I still don't have all the answers myself.
Spent yesterday with Pat Kwok in Berkeley eating hot dogs and having a good conversation outside Top Dog. Thanks for buying me the hot dog and drink. Go ahead and plan my 21st birthday party next year. But if I wake up on a boat headed to Jamica next to some hooker, I'm going to be upset, especially if you guys make me pay for the hooker. Then we watched the Warriors win while my neighbors banged on my walls. In fact, they're still banging my walls. One of these days I'm going to lose it and I'm going to crash into their walls like the Cool Aid guy and drown them in my sugar water.
Don't really have too many plans this weekend. Maybe wake up at 4:00 AM and sit with my brother and Lana outside Best Buy, only to get trampled to death trying to get inside the store when it opens. There's really nothing I need. Maybe get some more iPods so I can listen to multiple songs at the same time.
I got promoted to the CBC orchestra quintet. I don't know why I was chosen. Maybe it was because of my boyish charm and handsome good looks. Or maybe they were really desperate. I bet all the violinists in CBC will be all like, "What the heck, Allan is in the quintet?" And you know while they're saying that in their heads, I'll be like "Man, I'm in the quintet?" I really wanted to be in the Christmas play too, but I guess my acting skills weren't recognized. I did act in front of my English Lit class in high school because my teacher kept picking me. I thought it'd be some improv, no pressure thing, but he made me come in during my lunch break to practice. He was really into it, so I had to act for reals. I think I was one of the sons in Death of a Salesman. Not sure if I had to act too when we read A Streetcar Named Desire. I really wanted to play the role of Stella but I think some female classmate got the part. Shucks.
I placed my order on Amazon for John Mayer's new live album, TRY!. Now my iPod can have even more John Mayer. I'm going to go buy some songs on iTunes later, maybe some Kanye West. Cuz you know, I'm gangster. Don't make me bust it out during karaoke. I can "spit fire" with the baddest of the bad. When I say "spit fire", I mean I spit when I sing.
Have a fun and safe Thanksgiving!
