John Mayer had a contest where he wrote lyrics to a song of his and wanted people to send in their version of it. You can view the winners here. I actually didn't like the version of the winner. My favorite is from the Best Dorm Room Duo. It reminds me of Evan and Jaron (the guys who sang Crazy For This Girl something like 5 years ago when I was in high school). Anyway, give it a listen and see if you agree. It might take about a minute to load but I think those guys should have won. The winner's version is pretty funky. I like the lyrics a lot too, too bad Mayer didn't actually keep this one to use for his next album.
