Time to revisit my 2005 New Year's Resolutions. I posted these on this website one year ago in hopes of bettering myself. Let's see how I did:

1. Keep my mouth shut/think before I act: I can honestly say I did a better job of that this year, but still not good enough. I think I got myself into trouble too many times to justify this as a success. Final result: failed.

2. Be a better son: I think this one is pretty murky. In some sense, I think my dad and I are closer because he's retired now and I spend more time with him. But that doesn't necessarily make me a better son. I could also be nicer to my mom, but it's hard sometimes because she always has to have things done her way, which is the long, painful way. Final result: failed.

3. Start my own reality television show: Network producers failed to see the potential in me, so I never got the chance. Final result: failed.

4. Become more of a nerd: I got into UC Berkeley, spent every waking moment studying or in the library, slept in my clothes during finals, had zero contact with the opposite sex, and didn't make many new friends. Final result: success.

5. Win a championship in something: CBC Volleyball. What do you call the 12th man on the bench of a winning team? A Champion. Final result: success.

6. Invent a catch phrase: Nobody listens to what I say anyway, so it's hard for my catch phrases to catch on. Final result: failed.
