So today at church, Jason decided to Kobe it up in our CBC basketball league. For those of you living in a cave for the past week, Kobe scored 81, so Jason decided to go for 18. I think he ended up with 20, which is very good considering we only play 10 minute games. If you do the math, and treat it as if we would play a 48 minute game and if he played all 48 minutes, he would have scored 96. So in a way, his accomplishment is actually better than Kobe's. I just just trying to Troy Murphy it up (get 22 rebounds and shoot 4/13 from the field).
Also at church, they passed out a signup list for nursery and preschool volunteers. I was excited that this could be my chance to finally hang out with the kids. However, I was disappointed when the sign up list was only for "ladies." Johnson encouraged me to sign up and pursue my dream of being a nursery helper, so I did. According to early reports, it is only for ladies and my chances of volunteering there have not been approved. I guess you can't be Anika Sorenstam or Jackie Robinson all the time (although I wasn't really trying to break the race barrier). I might have to go pull a Juwana Mann and find another way to get into the nursery.
For Bernard, here are 5 weird habits of myself:
1. I separate my food. I hate it when my foods are touching each other.
2. Speaking of food, I eat really slow. People made fun of me in high school for this. I just prefer to eat slow and take my time. I might as well enjoy my meal.
3. I'm with Bernard, I get really paranoid about public bathrooms. I don't like touching stalls and handles and doorknobs because I know other stuff has been rubbed onto those doorknobs. If I'm going to touch someone's poo residue, I'm going to let it be baby Abby's and not some weird strangers who have who-knows-what STDs.
4. I check eBay everyday. I collect Todd Fuller cards and I'm down to only 25 left to finish my entire collection, most of which are super rare to find. I don't want to miss one should it pop up on eBay. Some would call me a loser for collecting Todd Fuller. I wouldn't disagree.
5. Back at CCSF when I took English classes, I would only write my essays at 1AM and onward. I couldn't write essays when the sun was out, or when there was life still out on the streets. I could only write when everyone was asleep and the world was quiet. Some people just write better when there's no one around.
Good luck to those starting school or going through midterms. Happy Chinese New Year too! It's all about Yaos and Maos Chinatown Baos.
