One of the things I've noticed is that even though I've always talked about my hobby of collecting cards, I've never actually shown them to many people. They're just sitting next to my computer in a little box. So I thought I would actually show some of them today. The majority of you won't even care, especially since not many grown ups still collect (me and Cal, and my brother a little). But the thing about my cards is that each one of them has a story or memory behind it. You don't really have to be a sports card collector to enjoy these pics; I think even the common fan might enjoy the sports memorabilia. I thought I'd take a stroll down memory lane, so I hope you enjoy my pictures:

Here is my Barry Bonds baseball card with a piece of a game used ball. I bought this before his historic 73 homerun season for pretty cheap, and I think this could fetch some pretty good money if/when he breaks Aaron's record because it has the MLB logo.

Here is my Bonds bat card. I traded my Troy Murphy rookie card for this one because I wanted this in my collection. The guy I traded with was this weird Russian guy and I see him at all the card shows. Sadly, the Troy Murphy card I traded him is still in his display case for sale, haha.

This card is of Barry's baseball cap. It was worth $100 at the time I traded for it, and I had to give up a crapload of stuff for it. In fact, a lot of the cards I traded belonged to my brother, haha. But my brother knew I wanted this card, so he was willing to sacrifice his cards for it.

I bought a Barry Bonds patch card on eBay. I just like the colors.

Every collection needs a Tom Brady jersey card. If you smell hard enough, you can smell the sweat on this jersey card. Thomas McBrady smells like red roses and the morning dew.

Here's a piece of the goalpost from last year's Superbowl when Brady beat McNabb (yet McNabb is doing New England Clam Chowder soup commercials. What a sellout). I remember watching this game at Bennie's house, while Jason and Danny were rooting for the black quarterback.

I recently started my Troy Murphy collection. He's basically the second coming of Todd Fuller, although some would argue Murphy is 500X more talented.

Speaking of Todd, here is my favorite Todd Fuller card with his autograph. I got this card when I was 12 years old at Elite cards on Noriega. The owner saw me come in and said "I have something for you." You know you're a Todd Fuller fan when the storeowner saves the card just for you. My dad gave me the $5 so I could buy it.

Another favorite player of mine is Fred Hoiberg. Here's his autograph card. This guy won the MVP twice when we played NBA on Playstation 2 at Norms house. The guys know the power of Chris Hoiberg, as Kenny keeps calling him.

Here's an autograph of Jason Kidd I got in person when I was a kid. Kidd was playing at Kezar Stadium and I think my brother, Cal, and De went. I asked to come along and they let me. All I remember was Kidd driving in his black car with tinted windows. He came out and signed a few autographs for the fans. I was only maybe 10 at the time, so I was being shoved all over the place. But my brother pushed me to the front of the line and he signed my card. I felt bad because my brother didn't get his card signed, but this one will stay in the family.
That's all for now. Until next time.
