The CBC Winter Olympics: Day 1

The first official CBC Olympics took place this past Sunday. Meet our Day 1 contestants:

This is Cal. He's no stranger to the spotlight or pressure. A former The Price is Right winner of a Dodge Neon, Cal comes in looking to dominate anybody, even Bob Barker.

This is Kenny. Don't let the camera in his hands fool you, this photographer also is a true Olympian. This year's softball Most Improved Player, he's looking to dominate in the CBC Olympics as well.

This is Pat. Acting as official judge and timekeeper for Day 1 due to multiple lacerations from a bike injury, Pat will make sure the athletes know all the rules. If anyone meeses with Pat, he is willing to take them down to Chinatown.

This is Brian. Brian refuses to be pictured.

This is Roger. "Air Canada" comes in with high school experience in the long jump and soccer competition. Roger is looking to take flight and run off with a gold medal. Sidenote: Roger's favorite can of pop is Coke.

This is Dave. This math genius is faster than a speeding train going 60 miles an hour east, while another train is going 45 miles west. When will they intersect? IT DOESN'T MATTER! Dave will just destroy the train coming his way.

This is Alex. This HK wannabe is king of volleyball, and on days he's hungry, he's also the King of Thai. Nice communist t-shirt Alex.

This is Martin. His great ability to wet-willy and make you feel bad about yourself shows the kind of talents he has. Gobble gobble gobble.

This is Andrea. She's no stranger to competition. What kind of courage does this woman have? How about the fact she was the only female to participate in the softball throwing contest. GIRL POWER!

This is Bernard. A late addition to the competition, Bernard is a tough competitor. Not only is he a veteran to the game of basketball and football, he works for eBay! If I had to place a bid on who's going to win, I'd put a max bid of a million dollars on Bernard!

This is Ben. This giant man is so tall that I had to stand 20 feet away to take his picture. How tall is he, you ask? He's approximately 8'11''. With a spinning head and short on breath, he managed to suck it up and participate in all events. Kerri Strugg would be proud.

Finally, this is Allan. Known for his handsome good looks and charm, Allan is the clear favorite to take home the gold. Why is he wearing a headband in 40 degree weather? Because true championships have to always look good to please their fans.

Stay tuned for more pictures and in depth analysis later after Allan finishes studying for his stupid midterm.
