My Christmas break is officially over. It's been a good 4 weeks, and they went by extremely fast. I had a whole bunch of goals written down, and I accomplished many of them during the break. Others I'm still procrastinating on. It's very similar to the time where I told myself that I would review all my statistics this past summer to prepare myself for my Econometrics class, and it wasn't until 3 days before school started that I tried to reteach myself everything. I guess life doesn't work like that. It's impossible to prepare myself for something when I lack the motivation.
But all in all, the break was good. I played a ton of video games, and we karaoked for an amazing amount of hours. I think we sang Under Pressure, Burn, and Build Me Up Buttercup too many times, but it never got old and was always fun. And because of our karaoking, there are video clips of me singing Buttercup and "dancing" on cameras now. I can no longer become a politician with that around.
Yet it's always good to stop and take time to reflect on these past 4 weeks to see what I've learned from them, and how these experiences have made me a smarter person. Here is a list of 10 things I learned during my Christmas break:
1. Martin is a better ping pong player than I am. However, I am a better ping pong player than Peony. In fact, some may even throw around the word "dominant" to describe my performance.
2. Peony can dominate me at Wii Tennis.
3. Even on Nintendo DS Cooking Mama, I still drop and overcook my food.
4. Fake Snow in bottles is EXTREMELY difficult to find during the Christmas season.
5. Sitting in the first chair in the orchestra does not make you a better violinist.
6. Build Me Up Buttercup is one of the best songs in the history of music. It ranks up there with Your Body Is A Wonderland.
7. The Golden State Warriors can afford to pay Mike Dunleavy $40 million dollars to play like a $4 million dollar player because they charge $9 at the Arena for their BBQ sandwiches.
8. The New England Patriots and Tom Brady are the team of the decade.
9. Tony Romo is the only person who can be linked to Jessica Simpson, Carrie Underwood, and BBQ Ribs. Ok, it's Tony Roma's Ribs, but still.
10. You must eat your onions:
