"You have to take a chance on something sometime" - Jim Halpert.

I was asked a few days ago by a college student at church if he should get his B.A. Then I found an article on Yahoo about the benefits of a college degree that said "a bachelor's degree is worth more than $2.1 million over 40 years." That's a lot of money, or 4.2 million Jack-In-The-Box tacos if you count everything in food.

I just saw the movie Friday Night Lights on FX. I actually saw the ending last week, then watched the whole thing again today. It was really good, one of those movies that can make you cry but you hold it in because you're a guy and you don't want to show anyone your tears. I know a movie is good when it can star an actor I'm not particularly fond of (Billy Bob Thornton) and still make me like it enough to watch it one and a half times. I think the fact that it's non-fiction and based on the real Texas high school team is what makes it good. Although Blades of Glory is fiction, I would still like to watch it.

I've figured out the only way to win in American Idol: Sing worse than Sanjaya so VoteForTheWorst will choose you. This is actually harder than it sounds because I don't think people can sing any worse than him even if they tried.

And finally, here's a 4 minute The Office preview to this week's episode where Jim is killed. Unlike in ER where Dr. Romano dies by having a helicopter fall on him, Jim dies by having Roy fall on him. Sadly, the only thing that can save Jim from Roy Rage is Dwight's purple belt in Karate.
